After nine highly successful years serving on the RANZCR Board, our Independent Director Professor Vin Massaro is stepping down at the end of 2022.
Vin joined the RANZCR Board at its inception nine years ago, and during his time on the Board has provided invaluable insight, experience, guidance and support to a series of RANZCR Presidents, Board Directors, and CEOs. Vin played an important role in bringing RANZCR to where it is today and his contribution to our success has been outstanding. The College will be thanking Vin formally for his sterling service at the Adelaide ASM.With Vin stepping down from the RANZCR Board, a search was conducted to find a replacement Independent Board Director.
The RANZCR Board identified the skills it required from an independent director and engaged an independent search firm to source suitable candidates. After interviewing candidates put forward by the search firm, the Board is pleased to announce that Ms Yvonne Warner has been selected as RANZCR’s new Independent Board Director.
Yvonne Warner is an experienced business professional with degree qualifications in accounting and law, and an extensive history in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Governance, and Regulatory Oversight. Her current and previous roles include work with Australian Securities & Investments Commission and the Australian Tax Office involving high net worth individuals, as well as with Not For Profit (NFP) entities and multinational companies, working with their boards, senior executives, accounting firms and leading law firms.
Yvonne has worked closely with boards and CEOs to identify and where possible, rectify governance and management issues. Her approach is to work closely with boards and CEOs in a professional, inclusive, and respectful manner backed by facts and relevant legislation. From her regulatory experience, Yvonne is familiar with the legislative framework that underpins our governance landscape and how the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission interacts with this framework for NFPs like RANZCR.
During her interview, Yvonne expressed a strong wish to use the skills she has developed over her extensive work history, to give back for the community good.
Yvonne will be attending the RANZCR ASM in Adelaide and is looking forward to meeting members and deepening her understanding of our sector. The RANZCR Board is pleased to welcome Yvonne to serve on our Board.
