In 2019, following an assessment by an AMC team, the College’s training, education and continuing professional development programs were found to have substantially met the accreditation standards and the AMC granted accreditation until 31 March 2024.
The College has continued to provide annual monitoring submissions to the AMC since 2021.
In 2023, the AMC team conducted a follow-up assessment and subsequently RANZCR, in the recognised medical specialties of clinical radiology and radiation oncology, were granted accreditation for three years to 31 March 2027, subject to satisfying AMC monitoring requirements including monitoring submissions and addressing accreditation conditions.
The Criteria for AMC Accreditation of CPD Homes was implemented in January 2023 and the AMC revised its Standards for Accreditation and Assessment of Specialist Medical Programs to remove the assessment of continuing professional programs as part of specialist medical program accreditation and assessment.
In August 2023, the AMC conducted an accreditation assessment of the RANZCR’s CPD programs. RANZCR was subsequently granted accreditation as a CPD Home for six years to 31 March 2030, subject to satisfying AMC monitoring requirements including monitoring submissions and addressing accreditation conditions.
