Expressions of interest are being called from Faculty of Clinical Radiology members for the Professional Practice Committee. The Professional Practice Committee is responsible for providing guidance and oversight of the development, implementation and review of post-fellowship learning including CPD, standards, range of practice, professional development and subspecialty recognition programs within the Faculty.

Attendance at all Professional Practice Committee meetings as determined by the chair, approximately 3 face-to-face and 2 teleconference meetings per year.
*During COVID-19 travel restrictions, there is an increase in videoconferences.

Clinical Radiology Fellows, representing a broad sector including New Zealand, regional and rural practice, public and private practice.

As per RANZCR’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) the International Medical Graduate (IMG) committee is responsible for the assessment of IMGs for equivalency to RANZCR trained Clinical Radiologists and Radiation Oncologists.
Expressions of interest are invited from New Zealand Fellows in Clinical Radiology who have held FRANCR for more than five (5) years to become IMG assessors as part of the NZ Vocational Education Advisory Board (VEAB). The VEAB is responsible for the assessment of IMGs to determine equivalency to RANZCR trained clinical radiologists. Please refer to the position description for more information.

Prior to Covid restrictions, RANZCR held four assessment days per year in the Wellington office. Currently and most likely into 2021, assessments are conducted online, one - two afternoons (approximately 3 hours) per month

RANZCR assesses International Medical Graduates (IMGs) for equivalence to RANZCR trained specialists on behalf of the Medical Council of New Zealand. From time to time the MCNZ requires IMGs to be assessed in the workplace. The MCNZ’s preferred tool for workplace based assessments is the vocational practice assessment (VPA).
The MCNZ has requested RANZCR provide a list of suitable FRANZCR to undertake VPA’s therefore expressions of interest are being sought for FRANZCR interested in undertaking VPAs.

Expressions of interest are invited from Australian Fellows in Clinical Radiology to join the International Medical Graduate (IMG) committee. The IMG Committee is an advisory committee reporting to both the Clinical Radiology Education and Training Committee (CRETC) and the Radiation Oncology Education and Training Committee (ROETC). The IMG Committee is responsible for administering the IMG assessment processes for both Australia and New Zealand via the relevant assessment processes. The committee is also responsible for making recommendations regarding the criteria and guidelines for assessment of IMGs and improving the current assessment processes. At least five (5) years post FRANZCR, and ideally working in the public practice with an understanding and/ or experience in the assessment of International Medical Graduates.
