The role of the Chief Accreditation Officer is a key member of the Radiation and Oncology Education and Training Committee (ROETC). The ROETC is responsible for the oversight of the Radiation Oncology Training Committee. The role of the ROETC is to develop and oversee the educational content, assessments and accreditation mechanisms that ensure trainees can become competent Radiation Oncologists. The Committee also has responsibility for assessing the suitability of candidates for Fellowship (including International Medical Graduates). The Role of the Deputy Chief Accreditation Officer is to support the Chief Accreditation Officer.
Role The Chief Accreditation Officer shall:

Attendance at accreditation visits or delegate duties to other accreditation panel members as appropriate; to be available 2-5 hours per week for consultation with College staff regarding administration activities and attendance at all ROETC meetings.

Applications must be submitted by 5pm AEST Thursday 10 August 2023. Chief Accreditation Officer Applications will be reviewed by the Chief Censor for consideration, pending advice from ROETC and approval from the Faculty Council.
Deputy Chief Accreditation Officer Applications will be submitted to ROETC for consideration and in the case of 2 or nominations a presentation at ROETC will be expected. The ROETC will make a recommendation to Faculty Council.
