The Training and Assessment Reform (TAR) has streamlined the clinical radiology examination structure, which are due to be implemented from January 2022. Further information on the changes can be found here.
In anticipation of these changes and to support the examinations (and make sure that there are enough members to facilitate the extra workload as the examinations are transitioned), the College has re-organised and created a new structure of examination panels which will report through to a central newly created committee, The Clinical Radiology Examination Advisory Committee (CREAC) who will be responsible for overseeing the Phase 1 and Phase 2 (previously Part 1 and Part 2) examinations. The Chair of each of the Phase 1 and 2 Examination Review Panel’s will form the members of CREAC.
As part of the new examination panel structure, the Clinical Radiology Examination Review Panel (CRERP) will be disbanded by the end of 2020 and its responsibilities will be shared across the newly created panels:
Phase 1
Phase 2
Panel members will be responsible by implementing the examination changes as a result of the Training and Assessment Reform and during the transition period are responsible for both the current examinations (including the development, setting and reviewing of examinations) as well as creating content for the new format examinations.
