NSW Branch is excited to announce a special educational event for the radiology trainees on May 3rd, 2025.

The first NSW Clinical Radiology Trainee Day of 2025 offers an exciting array of activities. The NSW branch would like to acknowledge Dr Graham Dunn as the NSW Radiology Educator of the year (2025) for his years of contribution to radiology training in NSW. He has kindly consented to provide an overview of Clinical Radiology Training for the trainees in the morning session.

The afternoon session will include:

1. Mock OSCER sessions in Breast Imaging / Obs/Gynaecological Imaging and MSK imaging. Those registrars who would like to be on the “hot seat” may indicate their preference below by placing numbers 1 to 3 in the boxes (1 being most preferred and 3 being least preferred). Only a limited number of trainees would be able to be on the hot seat. The rest would be able to observe the sessions on large screens provided at the venue.

2. Report writing cases with tips and tricks discussion. Those who wish to participate in report writing session, please bring your laptops. Cases would be provided on USB sticks to load on your laptops. Detailed instructions would be provided on the day.

3. Research project presentations by those trainees who have indicated interest in presenting their projects.

Note: The organizing committee would like to offer “hot seat “participation on a first come first served basis preferencing those trainees who are attempting the OSCERs in June this year for the first time. IMG trainees under specialist recognition pathway are eligible to apply.
