To be implemented from 2025, this document should be read in conjunction with the RANZCR Clinical Radiology Training Site Accreditation Standards.

The purpose of a formal process of accreditation and reaccreditation of sites for the training program is to ensure that each training site is consistently delivering a high-quality education and training experience. More specifically, the accreditation process seeks to:

  • protect safety and welfare of those involved in the training program
  • ensure that RANZCR trainees are provided with appropriate opportunities to enable them to meet the requirements of the training program
  • identify whether adequate resources are provided by the site to support training
  • assist accredited sites in their role as training providers, by identifying factors that may be adversely affecting their capacity to deliver effective and supportive training
