During the training program, you will need to complete assessment tasks in addition to the Part 1 and Part 2 examinations.
From 1 October TIMS is closed for trainees transitioning into the 2022 Training Program. The e-Portfolio platform will be available from 21 January 2022.
The period from 1 October 2021 through to 6 February 2022, Clinical Radiology trainees can continue to complete training assessments using softcopy templates. These templates are now available for each assessment under their corresponding heading below.
For trainee progress to be uploaded to their e-Portfolio record, trainees are required to retain all completed assessments during the October to January period and must submit them using the Trainee Assessments Summary Submission Form document along with copies of each completed assessment form as evidence of completion. This summary form allows trainees to provide a summary breakdown of all their completed assessments.
These assessments include: Experiential Training Requirements, Critically Appraised Topics (CATs), Mini-Individual Patient Exercise (Mini-IPX), Direct Observation of Procedural Skills (DOPS), and the Trainee Assessment of Training Site (TATS).
Project 1 and Project 2 assessments have a separate submission process so that trainees can continue to progress this work. Please refer to the Project 1 and Project 2 instructions for further information.
Trainees are not required to submit Director of Training Assessments; these are to be submitted to the College by Directors of Training.
From 21 January 2022, trainees will have access to the e-Portfolio System to complete future submissions.

Please note that the Multi-Source Feedback assessment will not be available during this period. Trainees will need complete this assessment within the new e-Portfolio system.
Trainee Assessments Summary Submission Form
Trainees who have adjustments to their training during October – January are to complete and submit the most appropriate form:
Project 1 is a major assessment exercise that must be completed by the end of the third year of training. Examples of suitable projects include:
You must submit your proposal for Project 1 by the end of Year 2, and submit the project by the end of Year 3.
Project 2 is a major assessment exercise that must be completed by the 54th month of training (full-time training). It can be an extension of Project 1 (if approved), and can be a collaborative assessment of up to three trainees.

You must submit your proposal for Project 2 by the end of Year 4, and submit the project by the by 54th month of training (full-time training).
The Director of Training Assessment (DoT Assessment) is a meeting between you and your Director of Training (DoT) to review your performance and progress on a 6 monthly basis.
The Mini-individual Patient Exercise is an oral assessment designed to assess your skills in interpreting diagnostic medical images for an individual patient, with rapid feedback. It occurs twice in each of Years 1 to 4.
The DOPS assessment focuses on the core skills required to undertake a clinical practical procedure.
It occurs twice in each of Years 1 to 4, and four times in Year 5.
The CATs assessment is a one-page rapid review of an imaging-related peer-reviewed research publication.
It occurs twice in each of Years 2 and 3.
You are expected to meet the minimum requirements specified for each of the experiential training requirements. Your training site/network is expected to make every effort to ensure that your roster accommodates these training requirements.
Requirements for the specific logbooks (Angiographic and Interventional, Obstetrics & Gynaecological Ultrasound and Paediatrics and Neonate Ultrasound), must be completed in addition to meeting the experiential training requirements.

The Trainee Assessment of Training Sites (TATS) is a confidential assessment where a trainee is asked to rate the training location and training experience on a range of dimensions.
